Payment & Delivery
All orders which are placed for delivery to Mainland UK will not incur a delivery charge. Delivery charges to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Mainland and Offshore Europe and the Rest of the World be will be calculated based upon the weight and destination of your order. The shipping price will be displayed once your address details have been provided.
We accept payment using most major Debit and Credit cards. We can also accept payment through PayPal. Terms and Conditions apply
Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions below apply to all transactions with Simply Laptop,
Outlet,
Outlet and
Outlet. The placing of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read the terms and conditions carefully and thoroughly. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We treat each order as acceptance by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to refuse, at our discretion, to supply any goods ordered by you.
1. Description of Goods/Warranty and Liability
Although we warrant that the goods will, at the time of delivery, correspond to the description given to us by the manufacturer or our distribution partners, all products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish fully detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Except where the Customer is dealing as a consumer (as defined in the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, section 12) all other warranties, conditions or terms relating to fitness for purpose, merchantability or conditions of the goods whether implied by Statute, Common Law or otherwise are excluded and the Customer warrants that the Customer is satisfied as to the Suitability of the Goods for the Customer's purpose. Goods are not sold on a trial basis.
If you buy goods which have no published technical specifications, it is your responsibility to establish the suitability of the goods for your intended purpose.
2. Typographical Errors
In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in the pricing information given to us by our suppliers, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders based on the incorrect price, whether or not the order has been confirmed.
3. Product Images / Specifications
Whilst we endeavourer to ensure all that images and specifications are correct at the time of publication, they do vary. As such we can accept no responsibility for incorrect images, specification or additional information. If however you notice an error with an image or with a products' specifications please contact us at errors@simplylaptop.co.uk outlining the error and/or correction.
4. Payment Method
This is a UK based site. We accept orders from countries as per our listing in the delivery section of the site. Payment will be taken only in British Pounds. Customers must provide the correct address, postcode and telephone number that the credit or debit card being used is registered to.
5. Availability of Goods
All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Our policy to contact you if a product is out of stock and should you not wish to proceed with the order or for any reason we are unable to supply the product or a suitable alternative, we will arrange for the order to be cancelled and fully refunded.
We offer an extended range of products, the majority of which are obtained directly from our suppliers. These products are subject to our suppliers' own stock availability and delivery dates made by the suppliers' choice of delivery services. Delivery direct from our suppliers can take up to 10 working days, you may contact us for a more accurate delivery time before ordering. Orders can be cancelled due to a failure to deliver to the customer only after 10 working days following the initial dispatch.
6. Delivery
Our standard delivery charge does not guarantee next day delivery. Although every effort is made for a prompt delivery, we cannot be responsible for any delays once goods have left either our premises or those of our distribution partners.
Where customers have requested and paid for a specified timed delivery, and this has not been met, only the additional charge will be refunded and not the full delivery charge amount.
Whilst all reasonable effort shall be made to keep any delivery date, timing of a delivery shall not be of the essence. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer, or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.
Orders comprising of multiple products may result in multiple deliveries. Unless agreed prior to dispatch, no additional delivery charges will be applied.
Bulk orders of high quantity or value may have additional delivery charges applied by agreement prior to dispatch
Delivery of the Goods shall be made to the Customer's address and the Customer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of them. If you wish for your order to be delivered to an alternative address such as your place of work or parents/relations then you need to contact us prior to ordering. Acceptance is at our discretion and once your order has dispatched, it will not be our responsibility.
7. Time Limitations for Notification of claims Damaged in Transit
As internal damage cannot always be identified on delivery, the Customer must sign the drivers manifest as "unchecked". Should any damage be identified upon opening the package, we must be notified within 48 hours with an accurate report of the product condition and nature of the damage. It is imperative that the Customer does not dispose of any of the packaging, as this will be required in order to affect a claim against the carrier. The claim will be handled by Black Box IT Supplies Ltd. We require the damaged goods complete with original packaging to be returned to ourselves and following an inspection, replacements will be sent. We cannot accept any claims for damage if the above time scales are not followed.
8. Shortages
It is the Customers' responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages that are delivered. The Customer is required to check that the number of packages delivered equal the number of packages on the delivery drivers' manifest/consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the drivers' manifest and it is the Customers responsibility to notify us within 24 hours of delivery of any missing parcels or short deliveries.
Should the Customer be missing an item but has signed for the correct number of packages. The Customer must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. The Customer will be requested to provide us with a copy of the invoice as well. The matter will be investigated and the Customer will be informed of the decision.
9. Incorrect Goods
It is the Customers' responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 48 hours of delivery. If the items are not as ordered, the Customer must not open the manufacturers packaging or use the item. The Customer will also be required to provide further information on what was received i.e. we may require the manufactures part codes and a full description of what has been received. Should there be any extenuating circumstances that have prohibited the Customer to remain within the specified time frame; resolution will be by mutual decision. Any goods opened or damaged while with the customer may result in full charge for the item.
10. Product Guarantees
All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the Original Manufacturers Guarantee for a period of 1 year (12 months) or longer where specified, this is in addition to the consumer's statutory rights.
11. Cancellation of Orders
Orders cancelled after dispatch of the goods will be subject to credit only after the items are returned to us and receipted back into our returns department. If the items are accepted, opened and used; the Distance Selling Regulations will apply. In all instances, goods must be returned as new, with no blemish, defect or parts missing, neither must the outer manufacturer packaging show any damage or be defaced in anyway. Should the items or packaging show any damage or be incomplete and defaced in any manner, a 20% fee will apply. This will automatically be deducted from the refund issued.
Items no longer required (Not applicable for Faulty Goods)
Our returns policy is in line with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 7 days from the receipt date, providied that you contact us beforehand and that the item is in pristine condition, in its original box and packaging and is unused.
You MUST notify us within 7 days of delivery of your good that you wish to return them. We will endavour to assist you in solving your problem before arranging the return, however at any time you can ask for a return for either a refund or replacement/exchange. Providing you have made the inital contact within 7 days we will accept your return even if you accept a repair or another solution first.
The Customer will be responsible for the safe return of the goods. Goods must be returned "as new" or in the same condition that they were received in. There should be no damage, all parts and included items should be returned. All packaging must be included and the manufacturer packaging must not be defaced in manner.
We will refund the carriage charges applied to the initial order but do not pay for the cost of returning the items to us. We can arrange collection for you and a £20 collection charge will be deducted from your refund.
Only complete products will be accepted. You must ensure that all additional enclosures, such as manuals, free software, cables etc. are all returned. Original packaging must be used to return the goods.
We reserve the right to reject any item(s) that do not meet the criteria lay out above.
Having arranged a return with us all the items, including any promotional items must be returned within the 7 day period. A restocking fee of 20% of the original invoice value may be levied on item(s) returned after 7 days of the goods being delivered at our discretion.
In the event of the items being returned in a unsaleable condition a restocking fee of 15% of the original invoice value may be levied on item(s). This charge will be made in consulation with the customer and ourselves and will only be charged where an agreement can not be reached and is in line with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
12. Faulty Goods
If you suspect that the product you have purchased is faulty or incompatible with your computer system you should contact the following helpline numbers.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
Should we agree a return of faulty goods after 7 days of the goods being delivered, a restocking fee of 20% is charged should the product be found to be non-defective.
13. Liability
Except as may be implied by law and except in the case of death or personal injury where the Customer is dealing as a consumer, in the event of any breach of these Terms and Conditions by us the remedies to you shall be limited to damages which shall in no circumstances exceed the price of the Goods and we shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages
14. Force Majeure
We will not be under any liability whatsoever in the event that we are prevented or delayed from supplying or making delivery of any Goods by any reason or cause beyond our control.
15. No Waiver
Our failure to insist upon strict performance of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be deemed to be a waiver of our rights or remedies in respect of any present or future default of the Customer in performance or compliance with any of these Terms and Conditions.
16. Severability
In the event that any or any part of these Terms and Conditions shall be determined invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent such term, condition or provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms and Conditions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
